The Ministry of Energy of Ukraine, within the limits of its capabilities, promotes the development of artificial intelligence and its implementation not only in the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine, but also in the energy sector as a whole.
First of all, the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine has developed a draft Concept for the Application of Artificial Intelligence in the Fuel and Energy Complex.
The concept aims to create the preconditions for the digital transformation of the fuel and energy complex, improve the efficiency of fuel and energy complex entities, energy efficiency, energy supply reliability, and reduce technological losses during their operation through the systematic implementation of artificial intelligence technologies.
Currently, the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine is taking the necessary measures to coordinate the Concept with interested executive authorities, other enterprises, institutions, and organizations.

Approval of this Concept will ensure a unified strategic vision of the state in terms of the development of artificial intelligence in the fuel and energy complex.
Another set of measures aimed at developing artificial intelligence in the fuel and energy complex is the creation of a competence center for the use of artificial intelligence for energy security, effective dispatching, and the development of “smart grids.”
The Ministry of Energy of Ukraine, together with central executive bodies, in particular the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine, is developing regulations for the relevant competence center with the involvement of higher education institutions. In addition, the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine is currently taking steps to communicate with leading international organizations on artificial intelligence regarding this issue.
In addition to the development of artificial intelligence in the energy sector, a set of measures has been implemented to introduce generative artificial intelligence tools at the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine.
Taking into account the need to regulate this issue, a memorandum on the use of generative artificial intelligence tools in the work of employees of the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine has been developed and distributed among employees of the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine.
Currently, the continuous development of artificial intelligence and the possibilities for its implementation within the limits of available capabilities and resources is continuing.
