During an official visit to Ukraine, the German delegation headed by President of the German Bundestag Julia Klöckner visited one of Kyiv’s combined heat and power plants that had sustained significant damage as a result of Russian attacks.

Deputy Minister of Energy of Ukraine Anatolii Kutsevol briefed the partners on the consequences of a series of targeted strikes on the heat supply facility, the progress of restoration works currently underway at the CHP plant, and the resources needed to accelerate the recovery process.

He thanked Germany for its consistent support to Ukraine’s energy sector since the beginning of Russia’s full-scale invasion, including its substantial contributions to the Ukraine Energy Support Fund.

Anatolii Kutsevol stressed that the equipment provided by partners enables rapid repairs and strengthens both individual energy infrastructure facilities and the overall resilience of Ukraine’s energy system.
