Ukraine welcomes home 205 service members of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the National Guard, and the State Border Guard Service who were released from Russian captivity as part of the first stage of the “1000 for 1000” prisoner exchange. This is the best possible gift for Family Day.

Among those released is a National Guard member who had been captured at the Chornobyl Nuclear Power Plant. Ukraine has now succeeded in returning almost all National Guard personnel from Chornobyl NPP and continues efforts to secure the release of every Ukrainian still held in Russian captivity.
