- The situation in Ukraine’s power system remains challenging. Continuous Russian attacks on energy facilities, combined with severe weather conditions, are forcing the implementation of restrictions across the country.
- The most difficult situation continues to be in the Kyiv region. Distribution system operators in Kyiv city and Kyiv region are applying network restrictions. Previously published hourly outage schedules are temporarily not in effect. Return to forecasted schedules will occur as soon as the situation in the power system stabilizes. Emergency restoration work in the capital and Kyiv region is ongoing around the clock despite difficult weather conditions.
- Certain restrictions, as in previous weeks, remain in Odesa region. Emergency restoration work is ongoing after previous attacks. In Dnipropetrovsk region, 74,000 consumers were left without electricity due to overnight attacks. As of the morning, over 40,000 subscribers remained without power. Restoration works continue.
- Due to adverse weather, 12 settlements in Chernihiv and Kyiv regions are without electricity.
- In most regions of Ukraine, hourly power outage schedules are in effect for all consumer categories, along with power limitation schedules for industry. In several regions, emergency outages are being applied due to equipment overload under high electricity demand during freezing temperatures.
- The Acting Minister of Energy called on Ukrainians to minimize the load on the power system and, where possible, limit the use of high-power electrical appliances. Careful electricity consumption will help reduce the duration of forced outages.
