07 August 2025, 10:41

The Ministry of Energy of Ukraine, in coordination with the European Cyber Security Initiative (Estonia) and the International Cyber Academy (Ukraine), organized a series of practical training events for companies operating in Ukraine’s fuel and energy sector. These included online tabletop exercises (TTX) and a cybersecurity competition in the Capture the Flag (CTF) format under the theme “Cybersecurity and Energy Resilience.”

The training initiative, supported by the U.S. Embassy in Ukraine and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Estonia, aims to strengthen cyber resilience within the energy sector. Participants improved their ability to detect, analyze, and localize cyber threats targeting critical infrastructure.

The program focused on developing practical skills to respond effectively to real-world cyber incidents. Through realistic energy-related scenarios, energy professionals enhanced their preparedness, improved cyber defense capabilities, and fostered intersectoral cooperation.
Strengthening cybersecurity in the energy sector remains a strategic priority. The Ministry of Energy thanks its international partners for their continued support in building a secure and resilient energy system.
