Germany’s additional contribution of EUR 250 million has been transferred to the Ukraine Energy Support Fund. This was announced by First Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine – Minister of Energy Denys Shmyhal.

According to him, the partners announced the additional contribution yesterday at the Ukrainian-German Business Forum held in Kyiv and chaired by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Federal Chancellor of Germany Friedrich Merz. The funds have now been credited to the Fund.

“Germany remains the Fund’s largest donor. Its total support for Ukraine’s energy sector has now reached nearly EUR 807 million. We are grateful to Friedrich Merz and Germany’s Federal Minister for Economic Affairs and Energy, Katherina Reiche, for their continued, consistent support for our energy sector,” Denys Shmyhal stressed.
