The First Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine – Minister of Energy, Denys Shmyhal, held a meeting with the Ambassador of the United Kingdom to Ukraine, Neil Crompton.
The Minister expressed his gratitude to the Government and the people of the United Kingdom for their consistent support for Ukraine and their significant contribution to strengthening the country’s energy resilience.
During the meeting, the parties discussed key priorities, including the development of electricity generation, strengthening the protection of energy infrastructure, and the continuation of restoration efforts. Particular attention was also given to the implementation of the energy system resilience plan and corporate reform in the energy sector.
The discussion also covered preparations for a Ukrainian mission of engineers and experts to the United Kingdom to assess equipment from decommissioned British facilities that could potentially be transferred to Ukraine.
“I am grateful for the support and for the readiness to continue working together to strengthen Ukraine’s energy security,” Denys Shmyhal emphasized.
