Emergency Power Outages Lifted in Kyiv

09 December 2025, 17:09

By order of NPC Ukrenergo, emergency power outage schedules have been lifted in Kyiv and Kyiv Oblast. The situation allows a return to stabilization outage schedules.

At the same time, emergency power outages continue in most regions of the country by order of NPC Ukrenergo. The main reason for the tightened restrictions remains the consequences of previous massive missile and drone attacks by the enemy on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure.

Despite this, the situation in Kyiv remains one of the most challenging: up to 50% of electricity consumers in the capital are currently without power at the same time. Hourly outage schedules are in effect.

We emphasize that emergency outages are a forced but controlled preventive measure applied on the command of NPC Ukrenergo. They are implemented to preserve the integrity of the power system and prevent a blackout.

Up-to-date outage schedules and operational information are published exclusively on the official resources of regional distribution system operators.

Energy workers are doing everything possible to restore electricity to Ukrainian households as soon as possible.
