Cooperation between the public and private sectors is essential for ensuring the stability of Ukraine’s fuel industry in the context of ongoing hybrid threats. Deputy Minister of Energy of Ukraine Mykola Kolisnyk underscored this point during his remarks at the international Petroleum & LPG Ukraine 2025 conference.
Mykola Kolisnyk emphasized the Ministry’s openness to constructive dialogue with businesses to enable rapid and coordinated responses to any crisis scenarios.
According to him, the integration of Ukraine’s fuel market into the European Union requires the introduction of high environmental standards and the adoption of modern approaches to the treatment and processing of petroleum product waste.
“It is equally important to strengthen supply stability and develop infrastructure - expanding storage and transshipment capacities, as well as forming sustainable wholesale contracts that will allow the industry to operate confidently within the European market,” he noted.
Conference participants also discussed mechanisms for enhancing the resilience of the fuel sector and reviewed development strategies aligned with global market trends.
The event was organized by the A-95 Consulting Group, which launched the first Petroleum Ukraine conference in 2009 and LPG Ukraine in 2010. Both platforms quickly became key venues for dialogue within the Ukrainian motor fuel market. In June 2022, amid Russia’s full-scale invasion, the large Fuel for Ukraine forum was held in Warsaw. The Kyiv forum resumed its work in December 2023.
