At the initiative of the Ministry of Energy, the Government approved a decision to transfer 12 integrated property complexes belonging to state-owned enterprises under the Ministry’s management to the State Property Fund of Ukraine.
According to First Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine – Minister of Energy Denys Shmyhal, the enterprises involved include state-owned coal mining and sales companies such as Lvivvuhillia, Volynvuhillia and Ukrvuhillia, as well as other enterprises currently located in temporarily occupied territories.
“We are launching joint work with the State Property Fund to identify effective private investors for state-owned mines. Our goal is to improve the efficiency of state coal production, increase private investment in the sector and improve its financial position,” Denys Shmyhal emphasised.
The Head of the Ministry of Energy also highlighted the continued need for state support for coal miners.
“The Ministry of Energy firmly supports the need to preserve all social guarantees, including the reservation of employees from military mobilisation. The relevant budget requests have been submitted to the Ministry of Finance and included in the draft State Budget for 2027,” Denys Shmyhal noted.
