The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has expanded the scope of the pilot project on the implementation of regional resilience plans to include critical infrastructure operators. This was announced by First Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Energy of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal.
The Government's decision establishes uniform rules for implementing resilience plans and measures for all critical infrastructure operators involved in their execution.
As a result, energy companies such as Naftogaz of Ukraine, the Gas Transmission System Operator of Ukraine, and NPC Ukrenergo, which ensure the operation of critical infrastructure, participate in the restoration and protection of energy facilities, and develop distributed gas-fired generation, will be able to implement their projects under simplified procedures.
"This will enable faster implementation of projects aimed at protecting energy facilities, constructing new generation capacity, and connecting facilities to the grid," Denys Shmyhal explained.
