Iceland has allocated an additional EUR 2.7 million to the Ukraine Energy Support Fund, bringing its total contribution to over EUR 8.4 million.

“We are grateful to Iceland for its continued support for Ukraine. These resources enable us to already prepare the energy system for the next winter season — carrying out scheduled and emergency repairs, strengthening infrastructure protection, building reserves, and responding quickly to the needs of energy companies,” emphasized First Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine – Minister of Energy of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal.

Since the beginning of Russia’s full-scale invasion, more than 1,000 contracts worth over EUR 850 million have been concluded through the financial mechanism of the Ukraine Energy Support Fund. Of this amount, EUR 618 million has been used to procure essential energy equipment and services to strengthen its protection for 66 Ukrainian energy companies. Since mid-November 2025 alone, contracts worth over EUR 582 million have been signed to enhance the resilience of Ukraine’s energy system.
