Lieutenant-General Ivan Havryliuk has been appointed Adviser on Defence Industry Issues to the First Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine - Minister of Energy, Denys Shmyhal, on a voluntary basis.

Until the end of May 2026, Ivan Havryliuk served as Deputy Minister of Defence of Ukraine, overseeing a number of areas related to meeting the country’s defence needs.

It should be noted that the responsibilities of First Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Energy Denys Shmyhal include, among other matters, oversight of the defence-industrial sector and the development of state defence-industrial policy.

The appointment of Ivan Havryliuk is expected to strengthen coordination within the defence industry and enhance cooperation among state institutions in advancing Ukraine’s defence-industrial capabilities.
