The Ministry of Energy of Ukraine and Verona Shelters Academy Ukraine Sign Agreement on the Implementation of the Shelter Academy Project

Deputy Minister of Energy of Ukraine Oleksandr Vyazovchenko has signed an agreement with Verona Shelters Academy Ukraine, formalizing cooperation within the Shelter Academy project. The initiative aims to strengthen professional knowledge, operational preparedness, and resilience in the areas of civil protection and critical infrastructure security.

Under the agreement, Ukrainian specialists will undergo professional training, including theoretical and practical modules, as well as exercises using specialized shelter equipment.

“The signing of this document marks a new stage in our partnership. It is not merely a formal step, but a significant contribution to enhancing Ukraine’s civil protection capabilities, improving the security of energy facilities, and providing practical training for specialists who must operate under extremely challenging conditions,” emphasized Oleksandr Vyazovchenko.

The Deputy Minister expressed gratitude to the Finnish partners for their prompt cooperation and support in implementing joint initiatives, noting that this partnership will help strengthen the resilience of Ukrainian infrastructure and ensure better protection of the population.

For reference: During a recent visit to Finland, the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine and the Finnish company Verona Shelters Group signed a Memorandum of Understanding, laying the groundwork for further cooperation. One of the key areas of collaboration is the joint development of the Shelter Academy.
