The Netherlands to Supply Transformers to Support Ukraine’s Energy Sector - Denys Shmyhal

First Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine and Minister of Energy Denys Shmyhal held a telephone conversation with Auke de Vries, Minister for Foreign Trade and Development Cooperation at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of the Netherlands.

During the call, Denys Shmyhal briefed his counterpart on the current situation in Ukraine’s energy system, with particular attention to the Kharkiv region and the consequences of ongoing Russian attacks on energy infrastructure.
The parties agreed on the supply of transformers of various capacities, as well as a EUR 23 million contribution from the Netherlands to support Ukraine’s energy sector.

Auke de Vries reaffirmed the Netherlands’ continued support for Ukraine. Denys Shmyhal expressed his gratitude to the Dutch Government for its sustained assistance and solidarity with Ukraine.
