Deputy Minister of Energy of Ukraine Mykola Kolisnyk took part in the international conference “The Ukrainian Energy Security Dialogue 2025: New DNA of Energy Security.” The event served as a platform for discussing current challenges in the field of energy security and the strategic development of Ukraine’s energy sector.

In his remarks, Mykola Kolisnyk emphasized the need for a systematic approach to energy security and highlighted Ukraine’s role in the global energy landscape. He noted that in recent years the country has undergone a profound transformation of its energy sector, including diversification of supply routes and synchronization with European systems.

“Today, energy is not only about the production and supply of resources, but also about ensuring the stability of people’s lives, communities, and the economy. Every day, we work to strengthen system reliability, modernize equipment, and adapt the energy sector to contemporary challenges,” the Deputy Minister said.

He also drew attention to the development of domestic consumption and infrastructure, including growth in electricity demand, the expansion of electric transport, the increase of decentralized generation, the renewal of industrial consumers, and the modernization of the housing stock.

“We are consistently working to create conditions for a more resilient energy system. The decentralization of electricity supply and the development of distributed generation not only mitigate risks but also enhance the flexibility and sustainability of the sector,” emphasized Mykola Kolisnyk.

The Deputy Minister underscored the importance of international support and financial instruments that facilitate the rapid implementation of energy efficiency projects and the development of renewable energy sources.

“The consolidation of international support and the implementation of modern European standards enable Ukraine not only to stabilize its energy system, but also to build a foundation for its long-term development,” he added.
