From January to mid-May 2026, ten healthcare facilities launched their own electricity generation within the framework of the “Ray of Hope” project. The total installed capacity of the commissioned solar power plants amounts to 770 kW.

At present, an additional 94 facilities are at various stages of implementation, three healthcare institutions are at the final stage of completion, while 141 medical facilities are currently developing technical solutions.

The commissioning of ten medical facilities became possible due to international support. In particular, nine facilities were financed by Germany, while one was supported by Sweden.

As a reminder, the “Ray of Hope” programme is a joint initiative of the European Commission, the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine, and the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, implemented within the framework of the Ukraine Energy Support Fund under the coordination of the Energy Community Secretariat.

The programme aims to enhance the energy resilience of healthcare institutions by equipping them with solar panels, energy storage systems, and other equipment to ensure guaranteed power supply and uninterrupted operation even under challenging conditions.
