Ukrainian Energy Minister Svitlana Grynchuk spoke about the current situation in Ukraine’s energy system during a live broadcast of the “United News” national telethon.
“Energy workers continue to repair equipment to stabilize the situation in the energy system. Constant enemy shelling significantly complicates these efforts,” emphasized the Minister of Energy of Ukraine.
The Minister noted that the situation remains most difficult in the Chernihiv and Sumy regions: “Almost every day and every night, the enemy strikes energy facilities across the country. Unfortunately, some consumers remain without electricity. Tens of thousands of subscribers in the Chernihiv region are currently without power. Energy workers are working around the clock, often at the risk of their own lives,” said Svitlana Grynchuk.
She also highlighted the support of international partners for Ukraine’s energy sector, recalling that Germany recently announced an additional contribution of EUR 60 million to the Ukraine Energy Support Fund.
“Cooperation with our partners continues uninterrupted on all fronts,” concluded Svitlana Grynchuk.
