Ukraine’s Fuel Market Remains Stable

18 February 2026, 20:35

The Ministry of Energy of Ukraine informs that, as of today, the diesel fuel market remains stable and fully supplied.

Thanks to the systematic diversification of supply sources and the coordinated work of market participants, Ukraine has sufficient volumes of diesel fuel to meet consumer demand. Any statements regarding a potential shortage are unfounded and do not reflect the actual situation.

The halt of fuel pumping through a specific pipeline route does not affect the overall fuel balance in the country. The share of diesel fuel supplied from Hungary is insignificant and does not have a critical impact on the market.

At the same time, a gradual reduction of supplies through this route has been observed recently, primarily due to scheduled maintenance at refineries in neighboring countries.

Market participants have proactively adapted logistics chains and ensured alternative supply routes. In fact, supplies through the Hungarian route ceased last week without affecting overall supply stability.

Currently, Ukraine has sufficient diesel fuel reserves, and existing import contracts from other routes are being fully executed, ensuring complete coverage of domestic demand.

The Ministry of Energy of Ukraine continues to monitor the fuel market closely and coordinates the actions of all participants to maintain the stability of the energy sector.
