Gas Transmission System Operators of Ukraine and Poland Agree to Increase Gas Import Capacity
The Polish gas transmission system operator Gaz-System and the Gas Transmission Operator of Ukraine have agreed on a phased increase in capacity for gas imports from Poland to Ukraine starting February 2026. By the end of April, the capacity in this direction will grow from 15.3 million cubic meters to 18.4 million cubic meters per day. This was announced by First Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine – Minister of Energy Denys Shmyhal.
According to him, this agreement is important for ensuring stable heat supply to Ukrainian homes, hospitals, schools, and critical infrastructure.
