Deputy Minister of Energy of Ukraine Roman Andarak participated in a seminar dedicated to expanding the capabilities of Ukrainian distribution network operators to build a decentralized energy system. The event was organized by the International Energy Agency (IEA).
The Ministry of Energy of Ukraine hosted a meeting of the Working Group on the development of a Draft Action Plan (Roadmap) for the deployment of small modular reactor (SMR) technologies in Ukraine. In addition to experts from the Ministry and industry enterprises, the Working Group includes representatives of central executive authorities, the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, and other relevant organizations and institutions.

He made this statement during a meeting of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Energy, Housing, and Utilities, where members of parliament presented a draft law outlining the principles for introducing SMRs in Ukraine.
Minister of Energy of Ukraine Svitlana Grynchuk conducted a working visit to energy facilities that sustained damage as a result of Russian acts of terror. The Government of Ukraine has extended the validity of the Regulation on the Imposition of Special Obligations (PSO) on entities operating in the natural gas market until 31 March 2026.
The decision also extends the fixed gas prices established to support households and electricity producers. This measure will ensure the reliable, uninterrupted, and safe supply of natural gas, as well as the security and stability of the natural gas market and Ukraine’s energy system.
