During the visit, the parties discussed measures to enhance the physical protection of energy facilities and further German assistance in their restoration.

During the meeting, the parties discussed further steps to enhance cooperation in restoring and reinforcing Ukraine’s energy infrastructure. Germany announced that it will increase its contribution to the Ukraine Energy Support Fund by an additional EUR 60 million.

In her speech, the Minister shared the story of Svitlana Pikalo, a 46-year-old dispatcher from the emergency gas service in Chuhuiv, who died at her workplace on the first day of the full-scale invasion.
