Acting Minister of Energy of Ukraine Artem Nekrasov paid a working visit to the Khmelnytskyi Nuclear Power Plant.

During the visit, Artem Nekrasov, together with Member of Parliament Oleksandr Danutsa and Acting Chairman of the Board of JSC “NNEGC Energoatom” Pavlo Kovtonyuk, inspected critical infrastructure facilities and reviewed the progress of repair and restoration works at the plant, as well as the operation of equipment ensuring the stable functioning of the nuclear facility.

The Ministry of Energy of Ukraine is shaping its gender policy with a clear understanding of the challenges posed by wartime conditions, when equality becomes a prerequisite for system stability, state resilience, and post-crisis recovery. This was emphasized by Roman Andarak, Deputy Minister of Energy of Ukraine, during the conference “Energy Without Gender,” organized by the Women’s Energy Club of Ukraine.

Deputy Ministers of Energy of Ukraine Mykola Kolisnyk and Olga Yukhymchuk held a meeting with directors of the Eastern European departments of the foreign ministries of the Nordic-Baltic Eight countries-Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Latvia, Lithuania, and Estonia.

The situation in Ukraine’s power system remains difficult due to another wave of Russian attacks. Overnight, the enemy struck energy infrastructure facilities in Odesa region. As of the morning, more than 90,000 consumers were temporarily left without electricity. Critical infrastructure facilities are operating on generators. Restoration works are ongoing.

The leadership of the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine participated in a meeting of the Anti-Crisis Energy Headquarters on preparations for the autumn-winter period of 2025/26, chaired by Prime Minister of Ukraine Yuliia Svyrydenko.

The United Nations General Assembly in New York has supported a resolution initiated by Ukraine and a group of states entitled “Strengthening international cooperation and coordination of efforts to study, mitigate and minimize the consequences of the Chornobyl disaster.” The document was supported by 97 UN Member States, with 8 voting against and 39 abstaining.

The situation in the power system remains difficult but under control. Russia continues its daily attacks on generation facilities, transmission and distribution networks, as well as on gas infrastructure. During the night, the enemy targeted energy facilities in the Odesa and Poltava regions. Some facilities have already been re-energized. Restoration works are ongoing.

Deputy Minister of Energy of Ukraine Mykola Kolisnyk met with Kristin Enstad, Counselor-Envoy of the Royal Norwegian Embassy in Ukraine. The parties reviewed the current progress of bilateral cooperation in the energy sector and identified priority areas for further strengthening Ukraine’s energy security amid Russia’s ongoing attacks.

Access to clean and affordable energy is not a privilege, but a fundamental right of every Ukrainian.

Ukrainian energy companies are working around the clock to strengthen key energy facilities and to restore and modernize infrastructure. This was stated by Deputy Minister of Energy Roman Andarak at the international conference “The Ukrainian Energy Security Dialogue 2025: The New DNA of Energy Security.”
