- As a result of hostilities and shelling of energy infrastructure facilities, some consumers in the Dnipropetrovsk Region, Zaporizhzhia Region, Kharkiv Region, and Chernihiv Region temporarily remain without electricity supply.

- Energy workers are operating in an enhanced mode to restore electricity supply to all consumers as quickly as possible.

First Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Energy of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal reported that Ukrainian engineers have conducted inspections of decommissioned power plants in EU countries to identify equipment needed for the restoration of Ukraine’s energy infrastructure.

According to him, eight facilities have been inspected in Latvia, Lithuania, Slovakia, Austria, and Croatia. Equipment at the Riga CHP plant has been identified as being of interest to Ukrainian energy companies. A corresponding request has been submitted to facilitate the transfer of this equipment to Ukraine.

First Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Energy of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal outlined the country’s key priorities in the energy sector for the near future during the Question Hour to the Government at the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.

“Ukraine has gone through the most difficult winter in its history. Since the beginning of the heating season, Russia has damaged more than 9 GW of generation capacity and dozens of distribution facilities. At present, Ukraine faces six key challenges in the energy sector,” Denys Shmyhal emphasized.

Deputy Ministers of Energy of Ukraine Anatoliy Kutsevol and Valentyna Moskalenko took part in the German–Ukrainian Energy Day in Kyiv, where participants discussed the further development of Ukraine’s energy sector during wartime and the deepening of cooperation between Ukraine and Germany.

Opening the event, Anatoliy Kutsevol thanked the German government and Maximilian Rasch, Chargé d'Affaires of the German Embassy in Ukraine, for their continued support of Ukraine’s energy sector and emphasized the importance of further cooperation to strengthen energy security.

- In the Kharkiv Region, an energy sector worker was injured as a result of an enemy drone strike. He is currently receiving all necessary medical assistance.

Deputy Ministers of Energy of Ukraine Anatolii Kutsevol and Valentyna Moskalenko held a meeting with representatives of Germany’s federal ministries to discuss further support for Ukraine’s energy sector, preparations for the upcoming heating season, and priority areas of cooperation.

- Today, from 17:00 to 23:00, hourly outage schedules and capacity limitation schedules for businesses and industry will be applied in all regions of Ukraine. Up-to-date information on restrictions is published on the official resources of regional distribution system operators.

During an official visit to Ukraine, the German delegation headed by President of the German Bundestag Julia Klöckner visited one of Kyiv’s combined heat and power plants that had sustained significant damage as a result of Russian attacks.

Deputy Minister of Energy of Ukraine Anatolii Kutsevol briefed the partners on the consequences of a series of targeted strikes on the heat supply facility, the progress of restoration works currently underway at the CHP plant, and the resources needed to accelerate the recovery process.

First Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Energy of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal, together with Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Ruslan Stefanchuk, held a meeting with President of the German Bundestag Julia Klöckner. During the meeting, the parties discussed further support for Ukraine’s energy sector, in particular the supply of equipment required to restore energy facilities damaged by Russian attacks.

Iceland has allocated an additional EUR 2.7 million to the Ukraine Energy Support Fund, bringing its total contribution to over EUR 8.4 million.

“We are grateful to Iceland for its continued support for Ukraine. These resources enable us to already prepare the energy system for the next winter season — carrying out scheduled and emergency repairs, strengthening infrastructure protection, building reserves, and responding quickly to the needs of energy companies,” emphasized First Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine – Minister of Energy of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal.
